In the wilderness you may need to bring drinking water to a boil before you can consume it.
If you don’t have a pot or a pan this can be very challenging.
Here’s what you can do:
1) Dig out a hole about 12” deep in the ground
2) Past wet clay around the hole making sure there’s no gaps
3) Allow the clay to dry
4) Fill the hole with water
5) Place stones in a fire and bring to temperature
6) Place the hot stones in the water until it comes to a rolling boil
You can cook meat, shellfish, or fish in the boiling water… or wait until it cools down and use as drinking water.
